Public Order Charges

BlackMenuBar.jpg, 340B

Have you been charged with a public order charge – an affray, riot, or rout? We have a number of articles about charges and many other general articles on this website.

Public Order offences are charges such as affray, riot or rout. They are charges where there is a disturbance in or in the sight of a public area.

Some issues in public order charges are;

  • "Who did what?" (Often the hardest part of riot charges is working out who did what)
  • "What level of danger was posed to victims?"
  • "What was the motivation for the offence?" (We work with you to put the offending in a context that makes a Judge understand it and for them to see how it came about).
