The Court of Appeal generally deals with appeals
by Defendants from decisions in the County Court
(there are limitations on the type of matter
that can be appealed).
The Court also deals with appeals from the Supreme
Court’s criminal jurisdiction.
The
Prosecution can also appeal against decisions
(known as Director’s Appeals) which they
are meant to do only sparingly.
A
defendant has 14 days from the day the order
is made to lodge an appeal against
conviction and/or sentence.
